The League provides a collective voice for the arts by engaging the business, political and arts communities in meaningful dialogue and activities to heighten awareness of the arts and foster collaboration to maintain a vital cultural capital in San Diego County.

SDPAL actively advocates to elected and civic leaders on issues that impact our members. Arts funding, censorship, city development, zoning, arts education, business support, and media coverage are some issues that affect the arts. The League is a founding member of the California Arts Advocates and the San Diego Regional Arts and Culture Coalition.
